I first visited your store over fifteen years ago when it was on Virginia and Meramec and I lived in the neighborhood. I moved away from St. Louis for six years, and your store was the first I sought out when I came back in 2001. Now I am enjoying the store on Gravois. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I have taken several classes and always looking for more. Beading is my favorite hobby and it decreases stress!!! Thank you for providing wonderful products not found anywhere else!

I travel a lot for work, and when I get a chance to look around the cities I work in, I'm always amazed when I find great stores without even trying! I visited Schaefer's for the first time today - and I must say, when I get back to the area for work (or fun!), I will always make this store a stop. ive always thought that schaefers's was a great hobby store.and i really enjoyed the knowledge that they had and shared.it is nice to be able to drop in and pick up things for myself and at the same time let my wife grab some craft items.ill really miss the downtown store though,but thats progress.the new location is excellent ,nice and big!keep up the great job and I know that schaefer's will continue to guide would be modelers with the same care,understanding,and SUPER SERVICE that has always kept me comin back for more!!

I worked in a hardware store for several years, and one thing I noticed was that people would complain about spending $5 to fix the houshold toilet, but don't think twice about dropping any amount of money on their hobbies. I've been flying RC planes for 8yrs and RC helicopters for the last 2yrs. When the store opened on Gravois it was like a dream come true, the absolute ultimate toy store. Unsurpassed service and selection, best hobbie shop I've ever seen.
